"... From mythology and religion the artist has taken the solemnity of the painting with some overtones of the totemic symbol as a trade-mark of transcedental, and yet concrete, situations; history has served him as his damatic text, but also as something more than just that. Novica Trajkovski paint in cycles. Their basis is the idea that the man is not alone in the all-comprising world and that nature is not “dead”. That nothing is one-directional, that there are correspondent invisible relations and that faith and imagination are living juices and not only intellectual and religious folklore. That the vigilance lives of perceiving and people most often live of aspirations. Finally, that the reality itself is mystic and not comprehended! ... more >>

The exhibition includes more than fifty paintings and drawings made during his self-isolation at the Lake of Dojran, which came after a period of tragic family loss – the death of his elder son, the painter Konstantin Mazev. Anxiety, pain, suffering and close feeling of death make a real whirl of rough paint and wild gestures directly expressing artist’s strong emotions and passion. ... more >>

Speaking about his art, Oskar Koller says that there were two things as a driving force in his painting: always open curiosity toward the visible world and its endless diversity full of colors, as well as his desire to reach the invisible, unknown and the secrecy of the visible. This could be said not only for the painting, but also for his entire work including drawing, lithography, and most of all his watercolors. ... more >>

“Vered Pirchi Linenberg’s works focus on a big, solitary woman in motion. Her face is blurred and indistinct, yet her genitalia and breasts are prominent and painted in great detail. ...” ... more >>
